451 Books is available to do on-site and off-site events, selling books. There is no charge for this, but we do ask that all advertising list us as the bookseller and encourages patrons to purchase any desired books from us.  We, in turn, will advertise the event on our website and in our store. 

Dave Richardson is available to speak at your event, in-service, reading or writing conference, and parent/teacher organizations on various topics, including the latest books, books tailored to a specific topic, writing topics (writing for magazines, what happens after the contract is signed, marketing your work, self-publishing  do's and don't's, how to get your book into bricks-and-mortar stores). He's recently started adding more educational topics like how our digital world is affecting children. 

Rates vary depending on the topic, the length  of the presentation, and if the presentation needs to be specifically tailored to a certain topic/audience. Reduced rates if the bookstore is selling at the same event. Please contact him  to find out more or if you have questions.

In addition to local in-services, PTO meetings, writing groups, and library events, Dave has spoken at both the Cincinnati regional and national Catholic Librarian Associations, The Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana Reading conference ,  The Great Lakes Booksellers and  Heartland Booksellers conferences, Lakeside Chautauqua lecture series, guest faculty at The Highlights Foundation, the Ohio Education Library and Media Association conference, and both the Ohio and the National Catholic Education Associations,  He is a former English/reading teacher, has taught literature on the college level for many years, and wrote a column for The International Reading Association for more than a decade.
